Teak
Indonesian Plantation Teak – SVLK Certified
Our plantation teak is 100% Indonesian legal wood and SVLK certified. From log to finished piece, every stage is monitored to ensure responsible sourcing and sustainable practices. This guarantees the long-term future of the forests while maintaining the quality that defines teak wood furniture from Indonesia.
Premium A Grade Teak
This grade is sourced from Central Java, specifically Cepu and Randublatung, where mineral-rich volcanic soils create the perfect conditions for slow-growing teak. The result is a uniform golden-brown colour, high density, and strength. Trees are harvested at an average age of 40–50 years, ensuring maturity and durability. Left untreated, this teak develops a refined silver-grey patina, while careful selection preserves its natural elegance.
- Average tree age: 40–50+ years
- Uniform grain and rich golden colour
- High oil and rubber content for weather resistance
- SVLK-certified replanting program
Material Stewardship
Every log is processed with minimal waste. Shavings and sawdust are reused in agriculture or incense production, and offcuts generate renewable energy. Teak’s natural properties make it resistant to rot, rain, and climate variation. This resilience is why teak wood furniture from Indonesia is trusted in projects worldwide, from residential gardens to luxury resorts. Strong and dense, it delivers performance with little to no maintenance, lasting for generations.
Premium A/B Grade Teak
Like A Grade, this timber is sourced from government-managed plantations in Central Java. It offers slightly more variation in colour and character while retaining excellent structural strength. It is particularly suited for larger furniture builds or when combined with metal frames. Cost-effective without compromising quality, it remains an attractive choice for both indoor and outdoor applications.
By combining legality, sustainability, and careful craftsmanship, Windward delivers authentic teak wood furniture from Indonesia that respects forests, supports local communities, and meets global standards.
